Glenn Jampol
Glenn Jampol is a pioneer in sustainable tourism in Costa Rica and is considered one of the most influential thought leaders, based on his 35 years of experience as a global ecotourism advocate, small hotel owner, and organic coffee producer.
For the past 33 years, Glenn has been the owner and developer of an award-winning Elite-level certified sustainable hotel in Costa Rica: Finca Rosa Blanca Coffee Farm & Inn. Since 1998, Finca Rosa Blanca has achieved the highest possible level in Costa Rica’s Sustainable Tourism Certification (CST) program. Additionally, the Inn has been recognized as one of National Geographic’s Unique Lodges of the World.
He was at the forefront of agro-ecotourism, combining regenerative tourism with organic farming practices.
Mr. Jampol was president of the Costa Rica National Ecotourism Association (CANAECO) for six years, and in 2009 he launched the renowned International Conference, Planet, People, Peace (P3), a biennial conference on ecotourism. He is also one of the founders of the newly founded Latin American and Caribbean Ecotourism Network (LACEN) and serves as a director on the board of directors of the World Food Tourism Association (WFTA).
